December 30, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
In August 2014, Durham Writers’ Salon grew from a seed planted by writers at the Mothership and flourished into a thriving community space. For its next iteration (starting in December 2019!), care of Writers’ Salon will fall to local writer and Durhamite Katherine Van Dis (author of Palmetto Blog and other works of short fiction).
This time around, Durham Writers’ Salon will be project-focused. So, whether you’re in the middle of a writing project, have a project in a drawer you’ve been meaning to dust off, or have been yearning to get something started – this is your place. Our aim is to create dedicated time and space for our projects (with a strong dose of community support for good measure!). We’ll start by sharing who we are and what we’re working on and then dive into a solid hour of dedicated work time (feel free to bring whatever fuel you need – snacks and drinks are welcome!). We’ll end the evening with a follow-up round of reflections and encouragement. Whatever your medium (poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, screenplay), you’re welcome to join. Please just bring good vibes, a willingness to work and of course, your laptop or notebook!
Join us from 7pm – 9pm the final Monday of each month, starting December 30th, 2019!
Dates are as follows:
